CURP

Clave Única de Registro de Población — Mexico's 18-character unique population ID assigned to every registered resident. Mexican nationals receive theirs at birth registration. Foreign residents with legal status in Mexico can also obtain one.

How to get it

Mexican nationals: print it free at gob.mx/curp using your full name and date of birth. Foreign nationals: go to RENAPO or the Civil Registry with your valid immigration document, or apply online at renapo.gob.mx.
