Physical vehicle inspection
Certificate confirming that the physical details of the vehicle (VIN, engine number, color, model) match the documents. This is NOT the emissions test. It is required for specific altas: vehicles coming from another state, imports, vehicles with no previous registration, VIN typos, or engine swaps. It is NOT required for new vehicles bought at a Jalisco dealership.
How to get it
Performed at UNIRSE Fluvial Vallarta (Av. Grandes Lagos #236), on Wednesdays, walk-in only — arrive early to get a ticket. You bring the vehicle in person along with the ownership documents. Cost: about $381 MXN. Issued the same day.
